50. The night is almost never really about drinking.
It took us a long time to understand this.
Obviously people drink. It's nightlife.
But that's not usually what they're actually looking for.
They're looking for something to happen.
To meet somebody. To feel included. To temporarily become part of a group. To laugh harder than they expected. To have a story.
To experience a version of Tokyo they couldn't have experienced sitting alone in their hotel room.
People don't go out just because they want a drink.
They go out because they don't know what might happen next.
And that's the whole point.
